Finding the perfect art for your walls can be a difficult task. Everyone has different taste, framing can be quite expensive, purchasing and finding new wall art is also a hassle. Rahul Ranjan, the founder of Canvia, wanted to create the Netflix of the art world to “revolutionize the accessibility and experience of art.” Canvia was designed to solve the traditional problems of unnecessary time involved in the decisions around buying and sourcing art. Canvia is a “digital art display that makes digital images of art look like authentic paintings and prints”. Rahul uses a unique technology to make the painting in the frame appear to be as realistic as possible.
One of Canvia’s goals is to bring new artists to people around the world. Throughout their campaign, they accepted submissions from artists who wanted to add their works to the Canvia library. Canvia uses their social media accounts to promote museums and artists from around the world and have created a community of professional artists and museums that support what they do. Building a strong community of artists and art lovers was vital to the success of the campaign. Canvia even used art from various artists on all of their follower updates, to give these artists even more recognition.\
Canvia has just begun shipping out to backers. Although they have yet to announce any future Kickstarter campaigns, the artistic community they have built will continue to grow. After all, Rahul and the rest of team behind Canvia’s mission is simple “make every home a palace by introducing beautiful and smart decorative products.” If you are an artist who would like to add their art to the canvia community, reach out to them at email@example.com.
